Bizstim can now change the prices on your services for you — as many services as you like, in one pass. Select the services, choose the adjustment, preview exactly what will happen, and apply it straight away or schedule it for a date in the future. Custom rates can move with it, and old prices can be kept for bookings already on the calendar.
Select The Services, Set The Change
Open Services, tick the services you want, and click Change Rates. There are three kinds of adjustment: a percentage up or down, a fixed amount added or subtracted, or one exact price applied to everything selected. What you charge and what you pay out are separate fields, so you can move one and leave the other where it is.
A percentage change can also round the result up to the next .25, 1.00 or 10.00, so a 9% rise on $45.00 lands on $49.25 or $50.00 rather than $49.05. Each amount carries its own rounding setting.
Two Ways To Apply It
The first question the window asks is the one that matters most.
- Update the prices in place. The services you selected carry the new price from that moment on. Anything not yet completed, including bookings already on the calendar, bills at the new price.
- Create new services and keep the old prices. Each selected service is copied at the new price and the original is retired — set inactive and taken off online booking, never deleted. You pick a cutoff date. Open bookings dated on or after the cutoff move to the copy at the new price, and anything earlier stays exactly where it is at the old price.
The second option brings everything across with the copy: requirements, tax settings, tier assignments, assessment forms and custom rates. Service groups are copied whole, so package pricing keeps working. Anyone holding unused prepaid credit on the services in the change stays on the old services entirely, so money already paid is never stranded.
Custom Rates Can Come With You
Two checkboxes decide what happens to individually negotiated rates. Ticked, the same percentage or the same amount is applied to every custom rate on the services that changed. Unticked, custom rates stay exactly as they are. Setting one exact price switches both off, because stamping a single figure over everyone's negotiated rate is rarely the intention.
Apply Now, Or Schedule It For Later
Pick a date and a time and the change waits until then. Times are read on your business account's clock, and the change is applied within the hour of the moment you chose. A scheduled percentage is worked out on the day it runs, against whatever the price is at that point.
Very large changes are handed to the same background run even when you apply straight away, so you are never left waiting on a page. The confirmation tells you when that happens.
A Preview Before Anything Moves
Nothing is applied until you have seen a preview. It lists every selected service with its old and new figures, the number of custom rates involved, how many bookings would move, and anyone excluded for prepaid credit. Services already inside a scheduled change are named and skipped, so two changes can never compound against the same service. Read it carefully: a rate change cannot be undone, and the way back is a second change.
A Record Of Every Change
The Rate Changes page in the Services menu keeps the history: what was asked for, when it fires, whether it is pending, completed, cancelled or failed, and a detail view carrying the old and new figures for every service. A pending change can be cancelled at any point before it runs.
A Full Guide, On Screen Or As A PDF
A complete guide ships with the feature. Open it from the How rate changes work link at the bottom of the Change Rates window, or from the same link on the Rate Changes page. The Download PDF button at the top right of the guide saves it as changing-your-rates.pdf to keep or pass around your team. It covers both modes in detail, worked examples of every kind of adjustment, rounding, custom rates, service groups, prepaid credit, scheduling, and a full walkthrough of an annual price rise across a whole service list.
Bulk rate changes are on the administrator side of your account.
