If you have run into difficulty saving a card on the Pay Assist page, this update improves that process end to end. Bizstim saves the card with Stripe, stores it against the record, and reads the card brand and the last four digits back from Stripe, so the card on file is ready to charge as soon as the page returns.
Card Details Confirmed With Stripe
Use Save Customer To Stripe on the Pay Assist page exactly as you always have. Bizstim asks Stripe for the card brand and the last four digits and stores them with the record, so the saved card lands on the Pay Assist list with its details filled in and ready to charge. There is nothing to look up in the Stripe Dashboard and nothing to paste back into Bizstim by hand.
One Stripe Customer Per Record
Saving a card where a card is already on file attaches the new card to the existing Stripe customer. Each row on the Pay Assist list keeps a single Stripe customer, your Stripe Dashboard stays tidy, and the card on file in Bizstim is the card you just entered.
The Message On Screen Matches The Result
A success message means the card is stored in Bizstim and ready to charge. If Stripe declines the card, or anything else stops the save, the message carries the reason Stripe gave. In the rare case where the card reaches Stripe but the record cannot be completed, the message includes the Stripe customer id, so you can finish it in seconds with the Save existing Stripe customer button on the Pay Assist list.
Administrator And Staff Sides
This applies wherever the card save form appears, on both the administrator and staff sides. Cards already on file, saved card payments, and the rest of the Pay Assist page are untouched.
